Who we are

Pouch is operated by Get Pouch (ABN 15 104 688 158), Australia. Get Pouch is responsible for (the controller of) the personal information described here. We handle it under the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.

What we collect

For family checklists, we ask only general answers such as your state, dates and situation, not names, street addresses, Medicare numbers or ID numbers. Account sign-in uses your email.

Local services and provider enquiries

Searching local services sends only your entered postcode to Australia Post to check delivery localities. Pouch does not save that search to your account. Providers can explicitly submit an organisation name, contact name, work email, website, postcode, service type and business details. These enquiries are stored privately for the provider and authorised Pouch administrators to review and respond to. They are not automatically published and do not contain patient information. Enquiries are retained for listing review and follow-up; providers can request removal through the Pouch team.

Where it's stored

Quiz answers are held in your browser until you sign in. Your account then stores your answers, task progress, payment statuses, personal payment due dates and any support services you explicitly save. These records are private to your account. Removing a saved support service deletes its follow-up record.

Pouch administration

Authorised Pouch administrators can view your account email, sign-up and last sign-in dates, checklist completion, prep-pack access and document-readiness counts, and payment statuses and personal target dates. This is read-only access for tracking progress. The parent administration dashboard does not show your raw quiz answers, AI descriptions, saved pregnancy-loss services or support history, or any identity documents.

Documents and partner access

Document readiness stores only whether you have an item ready, not the document itself or any identity numbers. Personal childcare dates, task assignments and reminder snoozes are saved privately. If you explicitly create a partner invitation, the person who accepts can see your quiz answers, checklist and progress and can assign or complete tasks. Payment tracking, document readiness and support history are not shared. You can remove partner access from your dashboard. Keep invitation links private.

AI features

Family planning and calendars

Additional child plans store a plan label, general quiz answers and separate completion history. Calendar entries store a title, date, type and completion status. Work plans store your intended leave, return and childcare dates and preparation progress. These stay private to your account and are not shared with partner teams or shown in the parent administration overview. Use a nickname or "Baby 2" rather than a full name, and avoid sensitive medical details in calendar titles. Calendar exports share selected titles and dates with the calendar service you choose; exported copies do not update automatically.

If you choose to use the pregnancy-loss support finder or the family checklist builder, your description and selected state or territory are sent to Lovable AI to recommend resources or prioritise a checklist. We ask for your agreement first. Avoid names, contact details, identification numbers and details you do not want processed by AI.

Pouch does not save your descriptions or generated advice to your account or browser storage. They remain on screen until cleared or you leave the page. If you explicitly save a support service to your dashboard, only its curated service identifier, whether it was an AI recommendation, your follow-up status, and saved, followed and contacted dates are stored. These private records appear in your support history; removing a service deletes them. AI services may process operational logs; this is not a confidential counselling service. AI suggestions can be inaccurate, so check details directly with the service. The support directory is available without using AI.

Payments

Pouch Pro is sold through Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment details, handles tax and invoicing, and shares only your purchase status with us. We never see your card number. See Paddle's privacy notice at paddle.com/legal/privacy.

Why we use your information

We use your email and sign-in details to run your account (needed to provide the service), your answers and progress to build your plan (providing the service), sign-in and device data such as IP address to keep Pouch secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interests), and AI processing only with your agreement (consent). We don't sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

Hosting and database providers, Lovable AI for the optional AI features, Paddle for purchases, Australia Post and healthdirect for postcode lookups (only the postcode and suburb are sent), professional advisers such as accountants or lawyers, and authorities where the law requires it.

Keeping and protecting it

We keep your account information while your account is open. When you close it, or it's no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, except purchase records we must keep for tax law. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is limited to your account and authorised administrators as described above.

Cookies

Pouch uses only essential browser storage to keep you signed in, hold your quiz answers before sign-up, and remember preferences such as cleared notifications. We don't use advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your information, or withdraw consent for AI features, by emailing hello@getpouch.com.au. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
